The Songs Lyrics History
Song lyrics are known since the very beginning of song writing in ancient times. Mayan people have written lyrics on stones, for songs dedicated to gods and performed on rituals. Then in ancient Egypt lyrics have been found on papyrus sheets which represented songs that ancient pharaohs wanted to listen, and also song lyrics dedicated to Amon Ra the Egyptian god of the sun. Many song lyrics are now interpreted and translated to English or other languages and the originals writings are kept in museums around the world.

Cher is the latest celebrity to inspire a Broadway musical. In fact, just this week, we’ve heard about the Spice Girls-inspired show, although, admittedly, that one will take place at Picadilly Theatre in the United Kingdom.
Never one to let others steal her thunder, Cher made the announcement herself on Twitter. The plot is supposed to follow her from her beginnings 50 years ago (yes, five whole decades!) all the way through her journey to today.
She tweeted (in a series of messages): "Prods [producers] are writing [a] musical now about my life with my music. There are three Chers!" "I'm helping to write cause I was there and know stories that no one knows but me!" "I hope it happens ... Broadway! It's VERY SLOW PROCESS! [We have] been working on it quite a while now."
Three Chers!? But there can be just one! All kidding aside, the three periods will be her life during the 60s/70s while she was married to Sonny Bono, another will be her post-divorce life in the mid-70s through her Believe tour in the 90s and finally, one will represent her life today. Apparently, these three Chers will be portrayed by three different actresses who will come together to sing “If I Could Turn Back Time. How does Cher feel about this? She tweeted: "I could be old Cher! She's wise [and] tells [the two] young ones not [to] fear [the] future."
Can you imagine what the set and costumes are going to be like for this extravaganza?! I cannot even begin to appreciate how much excitement this is going to give the production team.Â
Would you go see a Cher musical on Broadway?
