The 2012 winner of the RAYMOND WEIL Best International Artist Award is Michael Buble.Â
Each year, RAYMOND WEIL, the makers of luxury Swiss watches, presents a specially crafted timepiece that eventually becomes auctioned off to the highest bidder, generating proceeds for London based, Nordoff Robbins, a music charity dedicated to transforming the lives of vulnerable children and adults.
Receiving no statutory funding, Nordoff Robbins self funds all its "music transforming lives" projects nationwide. To help provide more widespread assistance, the music charity also runs postgraduate training courses in music therapy, research programmes, public courses and conferences.Â
Again this year, the Nordoff Robbins O2 Silver Clef Awards  once again brought together the best of the current music scene for a star-studded event. In addition to Michael Buble receiving the Best International Artist Award, Kylie Minogue received the 25th Anniversary O2 Silver Clef Award. Commenting later about her award, Kylie said, "I never would have thought 25 years ago I could have got an award like this and I think that's why I was so emotional up there. It's really hard to comprehend and how to express my gratitude."
Andrew Lloyd Webber collected the Sony Mobile Lifetime Achievement Award. Other awards went to Jessie J, Emeli Sande, Connor Maynard, Manic Street Preachers, and Fatboy Slim, just to name a few.
The Nordoff Robbins O2 Silver Clef Awards were handed out last Friday 29th June during a daytime ceremony at London Hilton on Park Lane.
Sir Paul McCartney had also generously donated an exclusive signed Hofner bass violin guitar which went up for auction to the general public. And again, the aim of funds raised goes to transforming the lives of vulnerable children and adults through music.
Patrons of the Nordoff Robbins charity includes a lengthy list of many of the superstars in the music industry. More information about the Nordoff Robbins charity can be found at their website.Â
